Japanese Grandpas Dancing to Gee
Girls’ Generation is a nine-member South Korean girl group, also known as Sonyeo Sidae or SNSD. They debuted in 2007 and immediately took Asia by storm. The group began a foray into the Japanese music scene in late 2010 with the Japanese remakes of their 2009 Korean hit “Gee”.
Now, meet the latest K-pop group to conquer Japan, Old Men Generation (Showa Jidai). This hilarious parody is made by Masahiro Nakai, leader of the Japanese idol group SMAP.

Panton Swatch Pixel Music Cover by David Marsh
There are three things that British graphic designer David Marsh must love: Pantone swatches, Adobe Illustrator and album cover art. In fact, he just completed a series of artworks using adobe illustrator to recreate iconic album cover designs from the 1960s to the present. The end result is some kind of “digital impressionism.” The sum of all swatches reveals an album cover image.

Snoop Dogg’s New Songbook Can Be Smoked (Literally)
How brilliant is this? For the release of “Rolling Words”, the new Snoop Dogg song book (yes, there is such a thing), San Francisco agency Pereira & O’Dell created this smokable version where each perforated page can be used as rolling paper, the cover is made from hemp seed paper, and the spine doubles as a match striking surface.

A nice music video for the song entitled “F.U.Y.A” by French DJ collective C2C. The four DJs are showing us a preview of what their first EP that will be released in January will sound like. A nice concept in which each sound of the mix is represented by a person in what appears to be an old church that also moves according to the sound.

Japanese collective Mitte Works introduces us to *Asterix, an experimental multimedia unit composed of three members: Meisai (Dance), Manuke (Direction) and Kenji Kariu (Sound).
